The documentary film about the Stanwood, WA memorial barn titled “In Their Memory” is out now on YouTube. It is 2.5 hours long and well worth the time. The film makers Kyle and Anna Porter used many of my and others photographs in the film and gave credit to each photographer. It captures the sense of loss, both of the people that the students of Stanwood memorialized on the barn through the years, and the loss of the barn itself which served as an outlet for their grief. By photographing it over the years, I found I had grown deeply connected with this area in more ways than I thought. Here is the link to the wonderful documentary:
