Form and Essence

This image is quite special to me. The glow in the vintage aluminum bowl is from a neon sculpture by the late artist and dear friend Hazel Colditz.

Thank you for this post. I met Hazel online and she became a precious Dharma friend. We would talk on the phone for hours, me lying in bed with the phone propped to my ear because I had health challenges long before her diagnosis. There was never any news on her site after she starting speaking to hospice. I wondered if she had left this earth, but never had any news. I was sad I lived so far away. I’m glad she was a dear friend of yours. I hope you were close by and able to not only offer care to her, but receive her luminosity to the very last moment.

  2. Mahala, please email me at d.yakowitz@gmail.com if you would like to talk more about Hazel and yourself with me.
